Even though this happened a few years ago my experience is still is a nightmare every time I look at my right foot. I went into surgery to have a bunion removed from my right big toe. About five days later I was in the office for the doctor to examine my foot post surgery. It wasn't Dr. Plotkin it was a different doctor and when we unwrapped the dressing to look at my toe it was infected. I was put on antibiotics and that didn't work so surprise!! I had to go back into surgery and they ended up taking the whole bone out and now my big toe is shorter than all my other toes. Now when I wear shoes they all lean over to the right because there is no big toe supporting my foot. The person who initially recommended this doctor to me ended up having to go to another podiatrist after a procedure went wrong with her foot which was also done by Dr. Plotkin. My foot looks very deformed.
