I purchased a Toyota Tacoma from Gateway in early 2016 from Dave Jackson. That was an excellent experience, I had not dealt with them for service as I live over an hour and a half a way from this dealership. In June 2016, my wife (then fiance) and I purchased a Used Pontiac G6 from them. The car fell apart as time progressed which I can't blame on them for things that occurred a year and a half later. However that purchase was not as smooth as my first one. Dave was delivering a car when we got up there for our test drive. We were then given a guy named Dennis who was your stereotypical car salesman. My fiance was not happy with any of it other than the price of the car which the negotiation was increasingly more difficult. After I walked, I called Dave a few days later and was able to make a deal over the phone on the car and all was done smoothly. Then they tried to charge me $20 more then the price agreed upon but the gentleman in F&I fixed it immediately.
Overall I'm lukewarm on this dealership. My Tacoma was great as it was the exact truck I wanted and was a CPO with 7,000 miles on it that someone sold them that was being deployed overseas. The G6 I still shake my head when I think of that car, however its gone now but I don't believe I'll be back between dealing with the G6 transaction and their insane Doc. Fee price. Also to mention, I got a call from them saying that Dave left the auto sales world. So gamble with your time.
