Went to the service department to drop my car off for a recall that was going to take all day. I was directed to the sales building to get a vehicle I wanted to drive. I have been a Mazda customer for over 10 years. I was interested in purchasing a cx5. I asked to drive a cx 5 for a few hours because it was my only day off and I had a doctors appointment today as well. I even told the sales rep I was interested in buying it. They said they don't let vehicles go out like that. I was a little confused because all of the car dealerships in the area have nearly begged me to take a vehicle for the day even keep it over night. I don't understand how your not going to let me drive a vehicle for a few hours that I would like to buy while I am stranded here for a recall.
I was then directed back to the service dept to ask for a loaner and was told there were no loaner vehicles available.
Overall it wasn't a bad experience, it wasn't the end of the world, but I still can't believe they would not let me use a vehicle for a few hours that I was seriously interested in purchasing. I'll start looking more seriously at the competition after this experience. Good customer service can go a long way.
